Biddy Sullivan has been compared to Sarah McLachlan, Joan Baez, The Indigo Girls, and Joni Mitchell. She feels at home sitting at the piano or cradling a guitar, but her dynamic performances are really driven by a voice that can be sweeter than a lover's kiss in the morning, and as balls out as any Janis Joplin tune. A solo album entitled Looking Glass was her first recording effort captured her voice over just the minimal accompaniment of her guitar, her piano, and some dear friends and family on background vocals.

Looking Glass is the first album released by the band Looking Glass in 1972. The group had been playing all up and down the East Coast in clubs, and one night they were spotted by Clive Davis at the Whisky a Go Go. Davis, who at the time was the president of Columbia Records, signed them to the Epic Records label. After trying to record two times (once with Steve Cropper in Memphis), the third was with Bob Liftin and that is where "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" was recorded
Lead vocalist/guitarist Elliot Lurie left the band to go solo after Brenden Harkin was brought on board as lead guitarist after the release of Looking Glass - Subway Serenade. Michael Lee Smith was hired to replace Lurie as lead vocalist. This line-up released at least one single before changing their name to Fallen Angels (5), who later morphed into hard rockers Starz (2).
