Lionheart has also released two other recordings: "My Fayre Ladye: Tudor Songs and Chant: (1997), and "Paris 1200: Chant and Polyphony from 12th Century France" (1998). On radio, Lionheart has been featured on Performance Today, on PRI's Harmonia on WGBH, and appears regularly on John Schaefer's popular radio program "New Sounds" on WNYC in New York. Lionheart has also received significant air-play on Radio Shanghai, which broadcasts Western music to a wide audience in China. On this disc "El Siglo de Oro" (The Century of Gold), Lionheart explores the seldom performed sacred music of 16th century Spain related to the eclectic, multi-cultural city of Toledo: from the worldly sounds of Cristabal Morales to the roguish Andalusian exuberance of Francisco Guerrero. This intense, mystical music thrived in the Old World and gained wide acceptance in the New World.

On The recording El Siglo de Oro: Chant and Polyphony of Renaissance Spain by six male vocalists of the Lionheart ensemble perform samples of music from Guerrero’s Canciones y villanescas espirituales, pieces by Cristóbal de Morales, and Gregorian chant. In addition to the strikingly beautiful performances on the CD, the liner notes include translations of the text and a brief biographical essay for each composer. El viage de Hierusalem, originally.
Luckily, Lionheart has simplified the task by taking matters into their own hands - they recorded their own album. Perfectly balanced and blended voices are qualities to which every vocal ensemble aspires, but not everyone acquires.

On so many other programs of chant and polyphony, you find yourself waiting for the group to get past the chant, which sounds so thin, so you can hear the "good stuff. But everything is the good stuff when these six men sing. This CD features the Missa Ave Maria of Cristobal de Morales (. 500-1553) interspersed with motets from Francisco Guerrero (1528-1599) and Gregorian chants for the Feast of the Annunciation from a 1557 choral book printed in Salamanca. The motets are almost all in Spanish. It's a surprising sound for the ears because this is, in many ways, music straight.
