Sucked in Engulfed by feelings I don't know Descending deep inside this darkening place It's bright lights will drag you down I'm drawn in to the city of vultures. We're falling down Tonight, tonight From blinding lights That drew me in Tonight
Their first album, 'City Of Vultures', was recorded with producer, Colin Richardson, who has worked with Carcass and Machine Head, amongst others. Having such a well-known and experienced producer will help with the album?s sound, but Rise To Remain could have recorded with anyone and the album would still have been well-received. They?re a band who sound just as good on recordings as they do live, as City Of Vultures shows, when compared to their recent appearance at Sonisphere . Create Content and Get Paid.

After promoting their Bridges Will Burn EP through Metal Hammer (magazine), Rise To Remain were sure to receive some attention.
Rise to Remain have been sitting on City of Vultures for a while now. After signing to EMI the London five-piece took a year to shape this debut LP – but now it’s seen the light of day, delivering on the anticipation, any awards to come its way are wholly warranted. This is as good a debut album from a British metal band as you’re likely to hear in 2011. After the album’s intro has receded, the first thing you hear of opener-proper The Serpent is not one of its vast, towering melodies.
