Sam's third Jewish album Across The River celebrates the course of the Jewish year with moving songs about the major holidays and lifecycle events. He promoted this album in the fifty city One Hand/One Heart tour across the globe in '98/99. ATR was modeled after Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, employing the same themed sixteen song double album concept and a piece of original art for every song. Artist Harriet Glaser (Sam’s mom,) supplied the sublime watercolors. Glaser's 2003 releases feature a pair of albums on the softer, more spiritual side. Presence is the "sister" CD to The Bridge, with fifteen introspective songs based on the themes of the High Holidays and the month of Tishrei. It features the most lush and precise orchestrations of Glaser's career and is a testimony to his growth as a composer and interpreter of Jewish text.
Named one of the top ten Jewish performers in the US by Moment magazine, Glaser is equally comfortable behind a grand piano in intimate solo concerts, leading his eight-piece band or headlining with full orchestra. Performer/Composer Glaser will travel worldwide throughout 2018-2019 on his Power of the Soul tour, performing in concert, leading spirited weekend programs and serving as artist in residence. For over 25 years Sam Glaser has taken Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach's lead and brought his heartfelt melodies to where the 'yidden' ar. I’m typically on the road every other weekend, Glaser told The Times of Israel. Cover of Sam Glaser’s 25th anniversary tribute album, ‘Stages. Your 25th anniversary double-CD tribute album is an exception to that rule. Why is that? The tribute album culled artists, mostly of the Conservative and Reform world, who have performed my music. So that is the only exception in my canon. But it’s a tribute album.
